Limitations of Cablecast CG

Cablecast CG and Carousel share a similar interface and feature set. However, some features available in Carousel are not yet available in Cablecast CG.

Features Not Currently Available

The following features are not currently available in Cablecast CG:

• Video Blocks Bulletins

• Interactive Bulletins

• Impression tracking on bulletins

• Scheduled CG Channel changing

• Carousel transitions other than Fade and Cut (Cablecast CG supports the Fade and Cut transitions)

Note: Although Video Blocks Bulletins are not available, videos added as an Uploaded Bulletin still work.

Background Audio Playlists

Note: If you previously used a Background Audio Playlist, you will need to set up and re-import those audio files to rebuild your background audio playlist in Cablecast CG. For steps, see Setting Up Network Stream Background Audio in Cablecast CG.

Summary

Cablecast CG covers most Carousel capabilities, with a few exceptions: certain bulletin types, impression tracking, scheduled CG Channel changing, and Carousel transitions other than Fade and Cut are not yet available, and background audio playlists must be rebuilt.
