Creating a Show in PEGMedia

Last Updated:September 30, 2026

Before you can publish episodes on PEGMedia, you create a show — the container that holds your episodes and the metadata stations see. This guide walks producers through creating one.

Before you start

  • You'll need an approved PEGMedia producer account.

  • Have your show's details ready: name, description, and how download costs will be handled.

Creating A Show In PEGMedia

1. Start a new show

Go to My Shows and click the + New Show button.

Empty PEGMedia "My Shows" page, with My Shows in the sidebar and the New Show button in the upper right both highlighted.

2. Fill in your show details

Complete the show form:

  • Show Name

  • Hide this show — optional; keep the show hidden while you set it up.

  • Description and Short Summary

  • Notes to Stations — anything stations should know.

  • State and Type

  • Party Responsible for Download Costs — who sponsors downloads (you or the member downloading it)

  • Frequency of Episodes and Search Tags

Blank "Create A New Show" form with fields for show name, description, summary, and notes to stations. Dropdowns cover state, show type, download costs, and episode frequency, with a tags field, a rights checkbox, and a Save Changes button.

3. Confirm the rights attestation and save

You'll confirm a required attestation that you have the rights and authority to distribute this program for PEG station use. Then click Save Changes.

4. Wait for approval

New shows are reviewed by an administrator before you can add episodes. You'll see a note on your show page until it's approved. Once it's approved, you'll get a Show Approved email from noreply@pegmedia.org, and you can start adding episodes — see Uploading an Episode.

New show page with a "Pending Approval" banner saying episodes can be uploaded once a moderator approves the show. Below it are the show's placeholder thumbnail, description, Subscribe and Contact the Producer buttons, and producer details.
"Show Approved" email from PEGMedia saying the show has been approved and episodes can now be added, with a Login to PEGMedia button.
