A traffic or weather camera
A live feed from a community event
CablecastCG supports the following streaming formats:
HLS
RTP
RTSP
RTMP
Navigating to the Live Video Dynamic Bulletin
First, navigate to the zone in Cablecast CG where you want to add the bulletin.
From the Cablecast Main Menu, select Cablecast CG.

Navigate to the desired zone.
A Note About Zones
If you ’re unfamiliar with working with zones in CablecastCG, refer to the Zones section of our training video on Cablecast CG for an overview.
Once you are in the correct zone, click New Bulletin.

Select Dynamic as the bulletin type, then choose Live Video.

Creating A Live Video Bulletin
In the Dynamic section of the Live Video Bulletin, enter the URL of the live stream you want to display. The stream may be in HLS, RTP, RTSP, or RTMP format.

Next, configure the bulletin schedule.
For most use cases, it’s recommended to set the bulletin to Always Active so it continuously rotates with your other bulletins.
If the stream is time-sensitive (for example, a seasonal display or limited-time event), you can set a start and end date just like any other bulletin.

Extras and Display Options
The Extras section allows you to customize how the Live Video Bulletin behaves.

Dwell Time
By default, CablecastCG uses a 10-second dwell time for bulletins. If you want the live video to remain on screen longer:
Set Let the system decide the dwell time to No
Enter a custom dwell duration
Alert Bulletin Option
You can also configure the Live Video Bulletin as an Alert Bulletin.
When enabled, an Alert Bulletin:
Overrides all other bulletins in the zone
Displays only this bulletin for the scheduled duration
This is useful for live events where continuous coverage is desired, such as a parade, concert, or special community gathering.
After setting Is this an alert to Yes, schedule the start and end times for the event. The Live Video Bulletin will display exclusively for that period.

Publishing the Bulletin
Once all settings are configured, click Publish to add the Live Video Bulletin to the zone.
Your live video stream will now appear as part of your CG bulletin board, adding dynamic, real-time content to your channel.
