Using the AgendaLink Integration
AgendaLink is a meeting management tool that helps you create clear agendas, make the most of meeting time, and track next steps. The AgendaLink integration connects Cablecast with AgendaLink so you can sync Shows and their Video on Demand (VOD) entries with meeting data. Once a Show is linked to a meeting, you can generate VOD chapters from the agenda, fine-tune their timing in Cablecast, and embed an interactive agenda on your Internet Channel that lets viewers jump to any point in the video.
Setting up the integration on its own does not change how Cablecast behaves. Behavior changes only for individual Shows that you link to an AgendaLink meeting. Any Show that is not linked keeps Cablecast's default VOD and chapter behavior, so you can use AgendaLink for some Shows and standard Cablecast chapters for others on the same system.
Before You Begin
The AgendaLink integration is set up by Cablecast Support, including the AgendaLink Meeting custom field used to link Shows to meetings. There are no credentials for you to obtain and nothing to configure on your end. Once the integration is enabled for your system, you can begin linking Shows to meetings. To get started, contact Cablecast Support.
Note
A Cablecast system supports a single AgendaLink integration.
Add the Show Field to an Internet Channel (Optional)
Cablecast can embed the AgendaLink display directly in an Internet Channel, complete with clickable agenda items that control the video player. To enable this, add a Show Field to each Internet Channel where you want the embed to appear.
From the left-hand navigation menu, select Internet Channels.
Select Edit on the Internet Channel where you want to embed the meeting.
Select the Show Fields tab.
Select Add Field.
Configure the field display:
Enter a Label (for example, Minutes). This is the heading viewers see above the embedded agenda.
Set Field to Custom Field.
Set Custom Field to the AgendaLink Meeting field.
Set Display to Embedded IFrame.
Select Save.
Repeat these steps for each Internet Channel where you want to embed AgendaLink meetings.

Link a Show to a Meeting
With configuration complete, you can link individual Shows to AgendaLink meetings.
Create a new Show Record or open an existing one.
On the AgendaLink Meeting custom field, select Select Meeting. A dialog displays meetings from AgendaLink that are not yet linked.
Choose a meeting.
Save the Show Record.
Note
An AgendaLink meeting can be linked to only one Cablecast Show. To move a meeting to a different Show, select Clear on the AgendaLink Meeting field, save the Show Record, then link the meeting to the new Show.

Run the Meeting in AgendaLink
After linking the Show and the meeting, run the meeting in AgendaLink as usual. This generates the initial timing for each agenda item. There is typically nothing more to do in Cablecast until after the event has finished.
Finalize Chapters After the Meeting
Once the meeting has run, pull the agenda items into Cablecast as VOD chapters, align their timing to the recorded video, and push the final timing back to AgendaLink.
Go to Internet Video → Video On Demand.
Find the Video on Demand entry for the event.
Under AgendaLink Controls, select Pull Chapters to import the agenda items from AgendaLink as chapters.
Align the first chapter:
Seek the video player to the moment the first chapter should begin.
Select Edit on the first chapter.
Select Use Player Position to set the chapter to the current playback time, then select OK.
In the Move Chapter prompt, set Chapters to move to All future chapters and select OK so the remaining chapters shift into place together.
Repeat the alignment step at any point where the timing no longer matches — typically wherever the video was edited or paused, such as a closed-door session.
Select Push Chapters to send the updated timing back to AgendaLink.
Tip
Marking a chapter as hidden removes it from the AgendaLink display while keeping it in the record. This is useful for moments that belong in the meeting minutes but would not make sense as a video seek point, such as the start of a closed-door session.

View the Result
If you added the Show Field, open that Internet Channel after finalizing the event to see the integration live. The channel displays the Cablecast VOD alongside an interactive agenda, and selecting an agenda item moves the video player to that point.
Summary
The AgendaLink integration links your Cablecast Shows and VOD content with AgendaLink meetings. Once Cablecast Support has set up the integration for your system, you can link individual Shows to meetings, pull agenda items in as VOD chapters, align their timing, and push the final result back to AgendaLink. Adding the optional Show Field lets viewers browse an interactive agenda right alongside the video on your Internet Channel.
